The Duchess of Cambridge and the wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton on Saturday gave birth to a girl at St. Mary’s hospital in London, Kensington Palace said.

Kensington Palace announced on Twitter, saying “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.”

According to the reports, the Duke of Cambridge Prince William was present during the birth of the baby.

The 33-year-old Duchess and her daughter both are doing well, Kensington Palace said in a statement on Twitter. 

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed, Palace added.
