New Delhi: At least 20 people have died with many reported trapped when two passenger trains collided head-on, in Puglia, Southern Italy, on Tuesday as per reports by Italian newspaper la Repubblica on its website. 
No specific reason for the collision is known yet. The accident took place near the town of Andria, according to news agency ANSA and Sky TG24.
Following the incident, ambulances and fire trucks were rushed to the scene. Rescuers along with firefighters are working to extract the trapped people by cutting the metal coaches.
