New Delhi: At least seven persons, including two attackers were killed when militants on Sunday attacked Somalia’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Mogadishu.

Islamic militant group Al Shabaab claimed that they were behind a bomb and gun attack on CID headquarters.

Reports said that a suicide attacker rammed a car bomb into the gate of the department before gunmen stormed the building.

According to witnesses, two loud explosions were heard in Somali capital.

Days ago, Al-Shabaab attacked a hotel near Mogadishu’s International Airport leaving 13 people dead.
