Kirkuk: Atleast five workers were killed when Islamic State militants stormed into two energy facilities in northern Iraq. 
The first attack took place at the AB2 gas compressor station when four gunmen broke through an external door and launched attack on two guards leaving them in critical condition. The attackers then entered the control room and shot 4 people dead. 
As per the sources the attackers escaped from the place to Bai Hassan oil station and launched a similar attack there destroying an oil storage tank. 
The attack has forced the suspension of oil station which had been pumping 55,000 barrels per day to the northern Kurdish region
