New Delhi: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s luxury hotel in Washington DC was vandalised on Saturday. The incident occurred at around 4 pm.

The words “Black Lives Matter” and “No Justice No Peace” were spray-painted on the front of the building.

WRC-TV reported that a man in a yellow shirt and a hat walked straight up to the hotel’s entrance and vandalized the building’s face.

The phrases were later covered with pieces of wooden board.

Police spokeswoman Aquita Brown said police are investigating the matter. She added that no suspect has been identified yet.

The Trump International Hotel was opened on September 12 last month.
