New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a woman in China made her 20 boyfriends buy her 20 iPhone 7s and later sold them to pay for a new house.

According to the BBC, a Chinese blogger using the pseudonym Proud Qiaoba shared this astounding tale about her friend Xiaoli (also a pseudonym), who sold the 20 iPhone 7s for a total 120,000 Chinese yuan (about $18,000) to a tech resale company, then used this money to pay for a new home.

“Everyone in the office is talking about this now,” wrote Proud Qiaoba. “Who knows what her boyfriends think now this news has become public.”

Qiaoba said that Xiaoli was not from a wealthy family and her father was a migrant worker.

“Her parents are getting old and she might be under a lot pressure hoping to buy them a house… But it’s still unbelievable that she could use this method,” Qiaoba said.

Xiaoli’s story has gone viral and has already been shared by 13 million people on the social media sites. The hashtag ’20 mobiles for a house’ (translated from Chinese) has become a trending topic in China.

Some people criticised Xiaoli and called her shameless but most of the people praised her for her skills.

A woman wrote: ‘I can’t even find one boyfriend. She can actually find 20 boyfriends at the same time and even get them to buy her an iPhone 7. Just want to ask her to teach me such skills.’
