New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the Russians on ‘Day of Russia’.
June 12 marks the day when Russia declared its independence from the Soviet Union. The day is being celebrated since 1992.
Extending his good wishes, Modi said in a message: “India and Russia enjoy unique and time-tested relations, characterised by strong goodwill between our people.”
“It is my firm belief that the special and privileged strategic partnership between our nations will acquire greater relevance in the days ahead,” he added.
“Once again my good wishes on ‘Day of Russia’,” the prime minister said.
