Pakistan has responded to India’s seeking of ‘credible crackdown’ against Jamaat-ud-Daawah (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Wednesday.

The Pakistani government said if India is serious about its allegations against 26/11 Mumbai blasts accused, then it should come up with ‘concrete evidence’.

After the news broke out that Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) co founder, Hafiz Saeed, was put under house arrest in Pakistan, India reiterated its stance against Pak’s steps to curb terrorism.

On Tuesday, the External Affairs Ministry of India issued a statement which stated that Pakistan need to do a lot more to control the terrorism emanating from its soil.

Further seeking a crackdown on Hafiz Saeed, the Ministry said that such house arrests have taken place in the past as well but only an action with iron fist can bring down the terrorists and terrorism.
