One person was killed and at least 20 injured on Saturday after a passenger train derailed in Belgium, reports said.
The train was on its way to De Panne when the incident happened.
“The train derailed around 13:20 hours at the departure from the station of Leuven, in the transition area a few hundred meters past the platform,” a spokesman for Belgium’s railway company, Infrabel, said.

According to Leuven fire department, two persons are said to be critically injured. 14 people have already been transferred to the nearby hospitals for treatment.
It is also reported that there were 50 to 60 passengers on the train.
