A senator from US President Donald Trump’s Republican Party has lambasted the country’s leader for his slipshod management of White House. Bob Corker said that by the look of how Trump is dealing with international affairs, the President is on course of waging World War III. Continuing his verbal attack on Trump, the senator said that his party leader is handling matters of the national and international concern like “a reality show”.
Corker, who is the Republican chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that Donald Trump concerns him and he should be a cause of concern for everyone who cares about the United States of America. He further said that Trump’s activities are alarming as he treats his office management like a reality show, like he did in his TV show ‘The Apprentice’.
Corker’s relationship with the US President deteriorated when Trump called him gutless because the senator refused to run for re-election. Retaliating to this, Corker took to his Twitter account and wrote, “a coterie of senior administration officials must protect him from his own instincts. I know for a fact that every single day at the White House, it’s a situation of trying to contain him.”
Earlier on Thursday, Donald Trump slammed the Senate panel in charge of investigating the alleged connection of Russia in his presidential campaign of 2016. He said that rather than investing their efforts in such futile activity, the panel should probe the wrongful reporting by various media agencies in US.
Bob Corker’s world war comment has come after Donald Trump took his war of words with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un to a new level. In his most recent outburst against Kim, US President tweeted, “Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid… Hasn’t worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, making fools of US negotiators. Sorry, but only one thing will work!”
