PM Modi In UAE: PM to offer his condolences over Sheikh Khalifa’s passing

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for one day after attending the G7 Summit in Germany.

PM Modi will express his condolences for the loss of former UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan while he is in the country.

On June 28, the Prime Minister will stop briefly in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, en route back to India. He will meet with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to offer his condolences for the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The UAE President, who had been in power since 2004, passed away on May 13 at the age of 73 following a protracted illness.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a wonderful statesman and an inspiring leader, according to Prime Minister Modi, whose watch India-UAE ties flourished.

After attending the G7 Summit in Germany, where he met US Vice President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and other leaders, PM Modi is now in the UAE.

During his two days in Germany, PM Modi spoke at the G7 Summit and emphasised India’s efforts to promote green growth, renewable energy, sustainable lifestyles, and world peace.
