EC Rejects Poll Bias Claim

The Election Commission of India brushed aside AAP’s allegations of partiality, saying “It is very clear that a collective 3-member commission has taken notice and observed out of scope and repeated deliberate attempts to defame the ECI regarding the Delhi elections, as if it were a unitary authority comprising a single member, and decided to exercise constitutional restraint, to absorb such outbursts with acceptance and such resolve to not be moved by such insinuations.” The EC had also said, “Action on the claims made by the political parties and candidates is completed in every instance by more than 1.5 lakh people in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, who work within a known legal structure, an orderly system, and SoPs of non-partisan behavior and impartiality.”

Delhi CM Atishi Books For MCC Violation

Delhi Police filed an FIR on Tuesday against Chief Minister Atishi, the AAP candidate for Kalkaji, for allegedly breaching the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and hindering public servants on duty. "We have registered an FIR against the Kalkaji AAP candidate at the Govindpuri Police Station under various sections, and further investigation is underway," a police officer stated. The officer explained that Atishi, accompanied by 50-70 supporters and 10 vehicles, was found on Fateh Singh Marg. Despite being instructed to vacate the area in compliance with MCC rules, they obstructed an officer from performing his duties. In response, Atishi criticized the Election Commission on X, accusing BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and his family of "hooliganism" without facing any repercussions, while a case was filed against her.
