Ahaan Panday needs no introduction. He became a sensation after the release of Mohit Suri’s cult romance, Saiyaara. Ahaan’s chemistry with Aneet Padda was loved by fans who ended up getting emotional at theatre halls. To all those Ahaan panday fans, there a good news for you. The young actor has finally started shooting for his next project with director Ali Abbas Zafar.
The filmmaker announced the development on Instagram and dropped two pictures. One of them featured a glimpse of Ahaan from the shoot. The photo focused on his eyes even as the actor appeared intense. The other picture showed a clap board and it read, “Production No 79. Director: Ali Abbas Zafar.”
What Did Ali Abbas Zafar Say?
The caption of the post read, “And it BEGINS” along with a camera and a fire emoji. The director tagged Ahaan Panday and Yash Raj Films’ official Instagram handles. Social media was quick to react to Ahaan’s first look from the upcoming venture. The actor’s mother Deanne Panday commented, “All the best @aliabbaszafar & team.” Arjun Kapoor called it, “Mass.” Rajat Bedi penned, “Congratulations Ali bhai & god bless.”
The name of the film is yet to be revealed. Previously, Ahaan had mentioned that the movie is an action entertainer and will also star Sharvari in the lead. Reports suggest that Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi fame Aaishvary Thackeray, will play an antagonist in the yet-to-be titled action romance.
Ali Abbas Zafar also issued a statement later on and spoke about working with Ahaan Panday. “What I love about Ahaan is his sincerity. In today’s time, when everything can feel performative and an act, he brings a kind of old-school honesty to his performances, like the romantic heroes we have grown up watching and loving. The camera picks up on that. You can’t act vulnerable on screen, it doesn’t land and he isn’t afraid to be vulnerable which is incredible,” he said, as per a report by NDTV.
Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara Debut
Saiyaara opened to positive reviews after it released on July 18, 2025. It revolves around Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a passionate musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy poet. Helmed by Mohit Suri, the tale of everlasting love was produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani.

Ali Abbas Zafar is known for his movies such as Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The script for this latest yet-untitled project has been locked by Ali Abbas and Aditya Chopra. This will be their fifth collaboration after Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.
