Did Hrithik Roshan Unfollow Jr NTR After War 2’s Crash?
War 2 co-stars are going viral for a wild rumour, that Hrithik Roshan unfollowed Jr NTR on Instagram following an alleged box office flop. The rumour was set in motion by a controversial tweet from a self-proclaimed critic, Kamaal R. Khan (KRK), thus setting off fan wars and speculation. But is there really any such truth to this social media storm? Let’s examine the drama.
KRK, on one of his now-infamous Twitter campaigns, declared that Hrithik Roshan had unfollowed his War 2 co-star, Jr NTR, on Instagram due to the the film’s alleged failure. “In Bollywood, nobody is permanent friend and enemy. Everything depends on success and failure. Since film #War2 is a disaster, so Hrithik Roshan doesn’t want to be friend of Telugu actor!”
With this, a storm erupted online. Fans clashed, some believing the unfollow was due to the fallout, others questioning whether it is true or not. The tweet spread around like a wildfire and had begun to ignite louder debates about the cutthroat nature of Bollywood and how the constant pressure of box office numbers affects celebrity relationships.
These sorts of allegations were quickly put to rest. Fan reactions backed up its analysis almost immediately. According to the verifications done, Hrithik Roshan never followed Jr. NTR at the very first place.
Thus making KRK’s viral claim totally absurd and baseless. On the contrary, Hrithik currently follows his War 2 co-star Kiara Advani and director Ayan Mukerji, but he does not follow Jr NTR, totally shredding the “unfollowed” myth.
KRK has quite a sordid history of claiming and supporting the same unsubstantiated leads. No wonder there are questions around his integrity.
War 2 released on August 14, 2025, the film was among the most anticipated big projects from YRF Spy Universe, bringing together Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR for a hued clash.
With a massive opening at Rs 52 crore, the film decreased sharply and collected Rs 8.5 crore by Day 5 under the shadow of Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Mixed reviews from the audience fueled online trolling and criticism and aggravated further rumours like the unfollow drama, which was totally fake and unnecessary.
