A 19-year-old second-year degree student from the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) faced arrest for continually sexually assaulting his five-year-old cousin.

The bureau’s specialized unit discovered the incident in Golconda, Hyderabad, when they intercepted Child Sexual Exploitative and Abusive Material (CSEAM) through a dedicated digital tipline.

The perpetrator used his family relationship to enter the child’s home before taking her to the terrace where he committed his crimes while filming them with a mobile device.

Digital Forensics and Legal Apprehension

Law enforcement agencies used digital forensic examination techniques to track the source of the uploaded material. The TGCSB used the digital evidence they discovered to identify the student, which resulted in a search operation that uncovered electronic equipment that contained evidence of wrongdoing.

State officials confirmed that the suspect confessed to the crimes during interrogation. He faces charges under the strict regulations of both the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) and the Information Technology Act. The accused has been placed in judicial custody while authorities investigate the possibility of illegal media distribution.

Victim Protection and Systemic Vigilance

The minor victim received immediate medical care and psychological treatment after the rescue to help her recover from the exploitation trauma.

The authorities presented the serious nature of domestic dangers because the child used the term “bhayya” to address the attacker. The TGCSB Child Protection Unit functions as an essential unit that tracks online platforms to discover abusive content in this case.

Law enforcement officials have advised guardians to stay alert to potential dangers that might occur through their known contacts and they should report any suspicious online behavior that involves minors through official cybercrime reporting channels.
