The latest Chanakya Cast Analysis, released today, indicates a strong showing for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Bihar elections.

AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal said India cannot believe that exit poll results, and field reports from Congress workers in Bihar suggest that the wind is blowing in favour of the ‘Mahagathbandhan.’ 

He added, “What were the exit poll results after the Haryana elections? A landslide victory for Congress was predicted, but the results came in a different way. So let us wait for the results to come.” 

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal says, “The recently concluded elections have clearly shown the mood of the voters. The NDA government is going to be formed in Bihar. Women have greatly influenced these elections…”

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav alleged that there might be attempts to manipulate the Bihar assembly elections results by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the counting set to take place on November 14.

According to Yadav, the NDA will “make all attempts to slow down the vote count” and try to “strike fear among people” while trying to “murder democracy.” He further criticised the Centre for the Delhi blast which took place recently near Red Fort, killing atleast 8.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers are preparing 501 kilograms of laddoos ahead of the counting day as exit polls predict NDA win in the Bihar elections. 

Meanwhile, similar scenes unfolded at the residence of Janata Dal (United) candidate Anant Kumar Singh, where workers have begun setting up tents, arranging chairs, and decorating the premises in anticipation of the counting results.

Four major pollsters are going to release their exit polls today after 5:30 pm – Axis My India, Today’s Chanakya, CVoter, and Jan Ki Baat. Polls were released on Tuesday by many other pollsters, however, Axis My India, Today’s Chanakya, CVoter and Jan Ki Baat will publish their numbers today after 5:30 pm. 

Political activity has begun in the state capital as the counting of votes in Bihar will take place on November 14. BJP workers are preparing for festivities, including laddoos, because of predicted positive results by a number of exit polls.

BJP workers are in Patna of preparing the laddoos. They are making 501 kilograms of laddoos before the day of counting.

Most pollsters – Matrize, Peoples Pulse, P-Marq, Poll Diary, and others – have reported their exit poll predictions for the Bihar assembly elections of 2025, predicting an overwhelming win for the BJP-JDU-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), but with the opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance calling up a distant 2nd. Looks like Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj would have no impact at all.

Multiple pollsters – Matrize, P-Marq and Dainik Bhaskar – predicted the NDA would receive at least 140 seats, with others – Peoples Pulse, People’s Insight, JVC, Polstrat – demonstrating that the BJP-JD(U) would easily receive a majority but Axis My India, Today’s Chanakya and C-Voter have not reported yet.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate reiterated her optimism about a Mahagathbandhan win, even after the exit polls released Tuesday gave a clear advantage to NDA, and projected Mahagathbandhan to fall short of majority. “I will not speak on Exit Polls. we will talk when they results will come. However, Bihar will be taught because its right to vote was used without manipulation… I am sure  that the Mahagathbandhan will form the government,” she told ANI.

JD(U) MP Ram Nath Thakur stated that the people of Bihar are aware of the work of Nitish Kumar, after the exit poll indicates a large win by the NDA.

“It is clear from the trends, the confidence of the voters and the mentality of the voters I have been confident from the very beginning now that NDA government will be formed, under the command of Nitish Kumar ji. 20 years ago Nitish Kumar ji served as a MP five times, Agriculture Minister, Railway Minister and lot of other responsibilities as well. For 20 years he has transformed Bihar. The people understand it and they can see it,” he said. 

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh stuck his party’s hopes in Bengal on the Bihar results.

“Bihar is bordering state (in front of West Bengal), and Nitish Kumar has a decent image. If NDA wins in Bihar elections, then it would soon help BJP in West Bengal,” Ghosh said.

BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh attacked opposition leader Rahul Gandhi over the SIR issue.

He said: “He is not even Congress’s campaigner, but super star campaigner for BJP. Go to the village and ask it around, there must be 100 voters voting here in Delhi, Ludhiana, and Gujarat. Do you not think their names should be deleted (off the voter list)? It should…But he doesn’t understand it. As long as Rahul Gandhi is in the frame, then balle balle for BJP. He doesn’t understand real topics.”

Following the exit polls indicating a clear majority for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, BJP MLC Sanjay Mayukh is confident that the results will be better and cited the blessings of the people and the work done under PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. 

In remarks to ANI, Mayukh stated, “The exact poll will be better than the exit poll. We will record better results because we have the full blessings of the people of Bihar. We have worked under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. We will get the results of that work.”

The BJP MP Jagadambika Pal stated that the first phase voting made it ‘clear’ that the NDA will form the government. 

“Even prior to the Exit Polls, the first phase voting made it clear that the NDA will form the government…..in Bihar iIt was the first time since independence that 65.8% of people voted,” he said.

Tarkishore Prasad, the ex-Bihar deputy CM and BJP candidate from Katihar, pointed out that although the exit poll predictions were good news, they did not come as a surprise. 

“Since 2005 CM Nitish Kumar has changed Bihar…We have faith in the Bihar electorate. We have faith in what we have achieved in development…the NDA and the BJP will raise the flag of victory for sure,” he said. 

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal greeted the exit polls and said the state is in good hands. 

“Under the leadership of PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Bihar has developed a lot…The public has voted for PM Modi guarantees, and the development model of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. The citizens of Bihar have faith that the future of Bihar is safe in the hands of PM Modi, and the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar…Relationships of RJD and Congress in the Mahalathbandhan are the same. Rahul Gandhi cannot tolerate any regional party..The public is going to form the NDA government again,” he said.

As the Bihar Assembly elections results are just days away, multiple exit polls have projected the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to win big in the state. The BJP is happy with the projections, and the opposition Mahagathbandhan is skeptical about the reliability of the exit polls while holding firm that they would vote the NDA out of power.

The exit poll results for the Bihar Assembly elections have been released. According to the Matterize News Exit Poll, the ruling NDA alliance appears set to return to power. The NDA is projected to win 147–167 seats with a 48% vote share, while the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) is expected to secure 70–90 seats with a 37% vote share.

According to the People’s Pulse Bihar Exit Polls 2025, the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) is projected to take a decisive lead with 133–159 seats and an estimated 46.2% vote share, suggesting that the alliance is likely to cross the 122-seat majority mark in the 243-member Bihar Assembly.

Exit polls for the Bihar Assembly Elections are expected to be released soon, following the completion of the second and final phase of voting on Tuesday, November  11. 

The state witnessed a record-breaking voter turnout of 67.14% (provisional) the highest in its electoral history underscoring strong public engagement in what is considered a crucial test for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s extended tenure.

Polling across 122 constituencies, representing nearly 3.7 crore voters, surpassed the 65.09% turnout recorded in the first phase on November 6. Among the districts, Kishanganj registered the highest turnout at 76.26%, followed by Katihar (75.23%), Purnia (73.79%), and Supaul (70.69%), while Nawada reported the lowest participation at 57.31%.

Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav said his “heart is filled with joy” with the “reports of bumper voting” in the Bihar assembly election. 

On X he stated, “My heart is filled with joy; my Bihar has truly worked wonders. Reports of bumper voting are coming in from everywhere. The elderly, women, youth, traders, farmers, every caste, every class is enthusiastically ensuring their participation in this grand festival of democracy. May this momentum not stop, may these steps not halt.” 

Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday expressed confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) performance as the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections continues, predicting that “around 80 out of 122 seats, NDA candidates will win.”

Speaking to the media, Manjhi highlighted the strong voter engagement, saying, “There was 65% of voting in the first phase of the elections, and we are hopeful that in the second phase too, the voting will not be less than around 65-66%. Around 80 out of 122 seats, NDA candidates will win.” He also noted encouraging turnout figures, adding, “As per the information, as of 2 pm, the voter turnout is more than 70%.”

Bihar polls: 67.14% voter turnout till 5 pm in final phase 

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday lodged a formal complaint against the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), alleging that the party violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and election laws through a social media post during the second phase of the Bihar elections.

In its complaint to the Chief Electoral Officer, the BJP accused the RJD of “deliberately trying to influence voter sentiment on polling day,” calling the act an attack on democratic values. The controversy stems from an RJD Facebook post that claimed BJP and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) workers were not backing Janata Dal (United) candidates, and vice versa, a statement none of the mentioned parties refuted.

Dismissing the post as “false and misleading,” the BJP said it was intended to create division within the NDA, confuse voters, and disrupt the electoral atmosphere.

Bihar election 2025 Live Updates: Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar said on Tuesday that the police across the state are on high alert as voting continues in the final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Speaking to ANI, Kumar said, “Police force is present at every point. All officers are conducting patrols. We hope the elections will conclude peacefully.”

The state has also increased its security measures amid the car blast at Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday which killed eight and injured several others, with international and inter-state borders sealed to prevent any such incident.

Bihar election 2025 Live Updates: “Khusbu Devi, who lives in Pranpatti, Purnia, said, P. “My name was gone from the voters’ list during the SIR. I couldn’t vote this time. My name wasn’t on the list. I don’t know what happened. No one came to our house, what could I do?”

Another resident of the village, Amol Kumar Mehta said, “The names of several genuine voters were also missing from my booth. People are fearful. They all live here. Only senior officials know why the names went missing.”

Leaders from both sides of the political spectrum cast their votes in the second phase of the assembly elections in Bihar on Tuesday, including JD(U) acting president Sanjay Jha, Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Purnea MP Pappu Yadav, and state Congress chief Rajesh Ram.

State Industries minister Nitish Mishra, BJP’s Jamui candidate Shreyashi Singh, and independent candidate Jyoti Singh, the wife of popular Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, also voted in the second phase.

Following the recent blast in New Delhi and the assembly election in progress in Bihar, Bihar’s nearly 700-kilometre international border with Nepal has been sealed for 72 hours to ensure peaceful elections, Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar told ANI.

“The Police is alert after the incident which happened in Delhi yesterday, in order to ensure that no incident like that will happen in Bihar. The international border along Bihar has been sealed for 72 hours for security, due to the elections,” DGP Kumar told ANI.

There are seven districts to share a border with Nepal, including: West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, and Sitamarhi. All seven districts are polling, currently, the second phase of assembly elections.

Various districts in Bihar will see an increased security presence for the second phase of assembly elections due to an explosion which caused 8 of killed, outside the Red Fort in Delhi. Security staff were engaged at a polling booth in Bhagalpur Assembly Constituency.

Bihar polls live update, 2025: The second phase of voting in the state of Bihar today recorded 14.5% voter turnout until 9 am. The turnout was 13.13% in the first phase of voting until 9 am.

Bihar Minister Krishnanandan Paswan, the BJP candidate from Harsidhi seat expressed his confidence of the NDA winning after he cast his vote today. “I bowed before the deities then cast my vote, it is a machine so sometime a technical issue happens but wasn’t much delay,” he stated, while he also mentioned NDA will win by a margin of 50,000 votes.
