Cockroach Janta Party Jantar Mantar protest LIVE Update: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has threatened to launch nationwide protests if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign by 5:00 PM today, The Indian Express reported. Following a concluded protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over national examination irregularities, Dipke announced that coordinated demonstrations will hit multiple cities over the coming week, culminating in another major mass protest at Jantar Mantar next Saturday.

Led by founder Abhijeet Dipke and joined by climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, the protest targeted massive irregularities in national examinations, including the NEET-UG paper leaks and CBSE evaluation flaws. CJP leadership warned that if Pradhan does not step down, the group will mobilize another mass demonstration at the same venue next week.

These arrests were conducted as a safety measure to avoid law and order problems since police had intelligence regarding the possibility of a clash between followers of the movement and those opposing it, police added. Officials said the six were held in preventive custody after they were spotted trying to disturb the peace near the site of the protest march.

The leader of the group was seen raising a book named ‘My Autobiography’ written by B. R. Ambedkar along with Ashutosh Ranka, the spokesperson of the group. “Under the complete guidance of the Constitution of India, we, cockroaches, will now launch our protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from 10 am,” the group stated in their post.
