DC vs GT, IPL 2026 Highlights 14th Match: Gujarat Titans Wins By 1 Run! Shubman Gill’s GT Win First Match

David Miller, despite hitting a six to make two runs off two balls, could not finish the clash. The South African batter denied the single on the penultimate ball. With two needed on the final ball, Miller could not connect his bat with the ball, and it resulted in Kuldeep Yadav being run out. DC reviewed the ball for a wide. The graphics showed that it was a fair delivery and the Titans walked away with a one-run win in a clash which they might not have won had Miller took the single to level the scores on the penultimate ball.

Vipraj Nigam struck a boundary on the first ball of the final over to reduce the equation to nine runs needed off five balls. However, he was dismissed on the very next ball. Kuldeep Yadav will face the third delivery with David Miller on the non-striker end. 

Mohammed Siraj was on the receiving end of some carnage from the two DC batters. David Miller started the onslaught with a couple of sixes and a four. He turned the strike to Vipraj Nigam, with a single who too struck a four. DC now need only 13 runs in the final over to win.

It seems to be all but over for the Delhi Capitals. The hosts, after losing KL Rahul in the previous over, could only manage to score nine runs in the 18th over. Kagiso Rabada bowled out his quota, giving away 32 runs. 

DC now needs 36 runs in two overs to win the clash. 

A fine knock from KL Rahul comes to an end. The right-handed batter is dismissed after scoring 92 runs off 52 deliveries. Mohammed Siraj got the better of the opening batter on the final ball of the 17th over getting Gujarat Titans ahead of DC in the game. 

The Gujarat Titans’ fielding could very well win them the DC vs GT clash. After a couple of stunning catches, including one from Sai Sudharsan, the left-hander inflicted a direct-hit run out to send Tristan Stubbs back to the pavilion. Mohammed Siraj, bowling the 17th over, gave only two runs in the first three balls, adding pressure on the DC batters. Meanwhile, David Miller who had walked off earlier in the innings came back to the crease.

An overthrow resulted in five runs, with 16 runs being scored in the 16th over. Ashok Sharma was the bowler who was hit for a couple of fours in the over as well. 

KL Rahul once again hit his state teammate, Prasidh Krishna, for a four. However, the pacer went for only eight runs as the Delhi Capitals now need 69 runs in the last five overs to maintain their winning streak. 

Rashid Khan capped off a brilliant night for himself with a third wicket. The leg-spinner dismissed Axar Patel on the final ball of his fourth over, thanks to a brilliant catch from Glenn Phillips. DC who lost their fourth wicket are potentially five down with David Miller already being retired hurt. 

KL Rahul is playing a solid knock for his team here at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The right-handed batter will shoulder the responsibility to win the match for his team with David Miller now retiring after hurting his left hand’s finger. Axar Patel, came to the crease replacing the South African. 

Ashok Sharma, after being hit for 23 runs in his first over, bounced back strongly. The young pacer gave away only six runs in the 12th over as the required rate for DC has gone beyong 11.5 runs per over. 

With the left-hander, David Miller coming to the crease, Shubman Gill threw the ball to Washington Sundar. The right-arm off-spinner was hit for a six on his first ball by KL Rahul. He made a strong comeback in the over, giving away only five runs.

Rashid Khan finally got rewarded for his solid bowling efforts. The right-arm leg-spinner had almost got Nitish Rana’s wicket on the first ball, but an edge saved Rana from being LBW. Later in the over, Rana was finally dismissed after he skied the fifth delivery, which was caught by Sai Sudharsan thanks to an exceptional forward-diving catch. On the very next delivery, Rashid dismissed Sameer Rizvi as the DC lost their third wicket of the clash.

The pressure built from Rashid Khan resulted in a wicket for Prasidh Krishna. The right-arm pacer dismissed Pathum Nissanka. However, KL Rahul made sure the over went in DC’s favour as he raced to his half-century in 29 balls. He struck a couple of fours and two sixes to end the ninth over. 

Rashid Khan has bowled a couple of great overs to put the Delhi Capitals under pressure in this huge chase. The Afghan spinner after conceding four runs in his first over went for only five runs in the next over. 

Prasidh Krishna was introduced into the attack right after the power play. The pacer started strongly giving away only four runs off the first five balls. However, he was hit for a boundary on the final ball of the over by Rahul as DC kept their run rate above 10 runs per over. 

Pathum Nissana seems to have taken a liking to the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Sri Lankan batter, after a disappointing start to the season, returned to form in the previous game here at this venue. Tonight, he has started right from where he left off on Saturday. 23 runs were scored in the final over of the power play, with Nissanka hitting three fours and a six off Ashok Sharma’s bowling. 

Rashid Khan was introduced early into the attack by Shubman Gill. The Afghan spinner gave only four runs in the fifth over, adding pressure on the two DC openers. 

Kagiso Rabada bowled two full tosses in a row but managed to escape without being hit for a boundary. However, once the South African pacer bowled a fuller-length delivery, he was hit for a six by Rahul. It was the first six of the innings for the Capitals. 

KL Rahul, despite hitting a couple of boundaries, has started timidly. At the end of three overs, the right-handed batter has managed to score only 12 runs in 11 balls.

Kagiso Rabada found some movement in the air while playing against his former team. The South African pacer, in spite of being hit for a four by KL Rahul, gave only six runs in the second over. 

The Delhi Capitals are off to a flying start in the first over. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka smashed three fours after taking the strike on the first ball. The right-handed batter went after GT’s Mohammed Siraj as DC collected 14 runs off the first over. 

Glenn Phillips started the final over, being bowled by Mukesh Kumar with a six on the first ball. The right-arm pacer bounced back by taking Washington Sundar’s wicket. It was a solid over from Mukesh with a four being hit off the final ball. The Delhi Capitals need 211 runs to continue their winning streak in the season.

Washington Sundar has finally announced himself in IPL 2026. The Indian all-rounder raced to his first fifty of the season in the 19th over of the clash. He struck a six and a four in the penultimate over against Natarajan.

Lungi Ngidi picked the crucial wicket of Shubman Gill in the 18th over. The South African pacer dismissed Gill after the GT skipper scored 70 runs in only 45 balls. Gill struck at a rate of more than 150 but was dismissed before he could provide the finishing touches to the innings. 

Shubman Gill went after his Indian teammate, Kuldeep Yadav. The GT skipper struck Kuldeep for a couple of sixes in the 17th over. The spinner ended his quota of four overs with a 14-run over giving away 42 runs while picking up a solitary wicket. 

Natarajan is continuing his fine form in the season. While he has been wicketless so far in the clash, the left-arm pacer bowled a quiet 16th over. The over went for only seven runs despite being hit for a boundary.

Shubman Gill got to his fifty in 33 balls with a four in the 15th over. Lungi Ngidi came into the attack to bowl his third over to stem the flow of runs. The GT skipper would want to continue to bat till the end as GT look for a score in excess of 220.

After the expensive over from Vipraj Nigam, the DC bowlers have been put on the back foot. The experienced spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel too went for runs with 19 runs being scored in their two overs. 

The decision to get Vipraj Nigam in the attack has cost Delhi Capitals dearly. The 12th over went for 23 runs as Washington Sundar and Shubman Gill struck a six each in the over. The young leg spinner bowled a no-ball as well which was deposted into the stands by Sundar. 

Both Washington Sundar and Shubman Gill are now rebuilding the innings for the Gujarat Titans after losing Jos Buttler. The two Indian batters will have their task cut out as they aim for a 220+ score. 

Kuldeep Yadav has provided the crucial breakthrough as the left-arm chinaman dismissed Jos Buttler. Bowling his first over, Yadav with a slower short-pitched delivery that remained low and rattled the stumps. 

Jos Buttler has raced to his first T20 fifty in as many as three months. The English batter reached the milestone in only 24 balls in the seventh over. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill struck a four in the over bowled by DC skipper, Axar Patel.

A four and a single off the remaining five deliveries as Delhi Capitals finish out the power play on a stronger note. Interestingly, Shumban Gill, who opened the innings, has faced only seven balls in the first six overs. Jos Buttler, meanwhile, has scored 47 runs in the 22 balls he has faced. 

Jos Buttler can’t be stopped as the English batter is dealing in boundaries against the Delhi Capitals. The number three for GT struck three sixes and a four in the fifth over to make 23 off Mukesh Kumar’s third over. He has already hit five sixes in his 16-ball stay at the crease. 

With the left-handed batter, Sai Sudharsan, being dismissed in the previous over, Axar Patel decided to get himself into the attack. However, the move from the DC skipper backfired as he was welcomed with a four and a six by Jos Buttler off the first two balls. 

Mukesh Kumar, after starting the third over with a wide delivery, bounced back strongly, getting the better of Sai Sudharsan. The right-arm pacer found some early movement and bowled three dots in a row before being hammered for a huge six by Jos Buttler. He bowled another wide with seemed to have injured KL Rahul. However, the wicketkeeper was fine after receiving some medical treatment. 

Sai Sudharsan is off to a brisk start as he welcomed Lungi Ngidi with a four on the first ball of the second over. 

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill started strongly against Mukesh Kumar. The two opening batters for the Gujarat Titans struck a boundary each in the first over. 

It is Mukesh Kumar who will start the proceedings for the Capitals. The familiar opening pair of Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill returned to the top of the order for the Gujarat Titans.

Delhi Capitals won their third consecutive toss in the season. Axar Patel for the third time in a row opted to bowl first putting Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans in to bat at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

The weather forecast shows that there is a low chance of there being any rain in Delhi during the DC vs GT clash. However, there is some cloud cover, and it won’t be a surprise if there is a passing shower. It rained heavily in the national capital yesterday. 

In seven games between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans, it is the latter who has dominated the head-to-head record. The Titans have won four games against the Capitals so far.
