The Ridge in north Delhi reported the highest rainfall at 22.4 mm during the same period, followed by 22.2 mm at Rajghat, 14.2 mm at Lodhi Road, 13.5 mm in Pusa, 11 mm in Najafgarh, 1.5 mm in Ayanagar, and 0.5 mm in Palam.
In the 24 hours leading up to 8:30 AM, the Ridge had logged a total of 64.8 mm of rainfall.

According to the IMD, not just the national capital, but much of the country is in for a rainy stretch. The department expects isolated heavy rainfall over Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Yanam between July 23 and 28. Telangana may also see very heavy rainfall on July 23, and Kerala from July 25 to 27.
“Strong surface winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph) very likely over South Peninsular India during next 5 days,” the IMD warned.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning, for July 22 and 23.
