In the 7th over, Levitt and Bas de Leede rotated the strike well, with Levitt hitting a four and both taking singles. Netherlands ended the over 44/1.

Hardik Pandya bowled the 8th, mixing slower balls and cutters. Levitt hit a four but then fell to Sundar’s catch, and Ackermann joined Bas. After 8 overs, Netherlands were 52/2, needing 142 from 12 overs.

In the 3rd over of the chase, Arshdeep Singh kept the pressure on the Dutch openers. Michael Levitt finally opened his account with a boundary through backward point and picked up a couple of singles along the way. Max O’Dowd added a leg bye as well. After three overs, Netherlands were 17/0, needing 177 runs from 17 overs to win.

The final over of the innings was fireworks mixed with a couple of big wickets. Shivam Dube started it with a towering six, but Netherlands fought back as Logan van Beek claimed both Shivam Dube (66 off 31) and Hardik Pandya (30 off 21) with sharp catches. Rinku Singh contributed a quick six and a single, helping India finish strongly at 193/6 after 20 overs, ending on a high note despite the late wickets.

Bas de Leede delivered a tidy 18th over, conceding just six runs. Shivam Dube struck a well-controlled boundary off the short ball, while Hardik Pandya struggled to get the wide deliveries away. India moved to 159/4 after 18 overs.

Logan van Beek was taken apart in the 17th over as India surged ahead. Shivam Dube brought up a blazing fifty, smashing two sixes and a four, while Hardik Pandya chipped in with singles. The over yielded 20 runs, pushing India to 153/4 after 17 overs.

Roelof van der Merwe endured a tough 16th over as India accelerated. Shivam Dube launched a full toss for six before Hardik Pandya smashed another maximum over mid-wicket. The rest were singles, but the damage was done as India collected 15 runs to reach 133/4 after 16 overs.

The 13th over turned into a big one for India as Shivam Dube cut loose against Colin Ackermann, smashing two sixes and a four in a blistering burst. The late onslaught shifted momentum firmly in India’s favour, while Suryakumar Yadav kept the strike moving.

The 12th over saw India finally inject momentum as Suryakumar Yadav broke free with a towering six off Bas de Leede. A couple of wides and steady singles kept the scoreboard ticking, while Shivam Dube rotated strike effectively.

The 11th over was a superb, probing spell from Aryan Dutt, who kept things extremely tight and nearly trapped Shivam Dube in front on multiple occasions, only for reviews and angles to save the batter. Just two singles came from the over as India struggled to break free.

The sixth over from Kyle Klein went for seven runs as India kept the scoreboard ticking. Suryakumar Yadav began with a classy boundary through cover and added a couple of singles, while Tilak Varma chipped in with one run.
After 6 overs: India 51/2 (Tilak Varma 26*, Suryakumar Yadav 7*). 

The fifth over from Aryan Dutt yielded nine runs but also brought a key wicket. Ishan Kishan started with a boundary but was bowled soon after for 18, giving the Netherlands a second breakthrough. Suryakumar Yadav got off the mark with a single, while Tilak Varma added a crisp four before ending the over quietly.

The fourth over from Colin Ackermann went for 12 runs as India accelerated. Ishan Kishan launched a full toss for a six, while Tilak Varma finished the over with a fine sweep to the boundary.

Yeah, we would (have batted). Also looks like pretty good wickets. (what are you looking for from this game?) Obviously, yeah, playing in India is always an awesome experience. We feel like we’ve played a lot of good cricket. We’ve probably missed a couple of chances. So, yeah, for us, it’s just about finishing our campaign well. (what are the areas you are trying to improve?) Probably all over the streak now, I think. You know, in patches we’ve been good with the bat and with the ball. But, yeah, just looking to put in a complete performance today. We have one change – Noah Croes comes in for Fred Klaassen.
