 Iran’s foreign minister met his Pakistani counterpart on Friday to discuss proposals to end the U.S.-Israeli war, Iranian media reported, with Tehran and Washington still at odds over Tehran’s uranium stockpile and controls on the Strait of Hormuz.

Two days after presenting the Iranians with the latest U.S. message in the negotiations, Pakistani Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi held another round of talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Tehran, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that four people were killed in an overnight air strike on a centre operated by the Islamic Health Authority in Hannaouiyah, located in the Tyre District.

The attack also left two paramedics injured, the report added.

 Indian shares opened little changed on Friday as oil prices hovered around $105 per barrel, with investors awaiting progress in peace talks between the U.S. and Iran.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday reiterated that Washington intends to take control of Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile, despite Tehran maintaining that it will not surrender the material.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the United States would not permit Iran to retain the uranium. “We will get it. We don’t need it, and we don’t want it,” he said, adding that the stockpile could likely be destroyed once it is secured.
