KKR vs SRH Highlights IPL 2026 Today Match Updates: Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Kolkata Knight Riders By 65 Runs

KKR got off to a flying start, racing to 25/0 after the 1st over thanks to Finn Allen’s explosive hitting. They moved to 33/1 in 2 overs after Allen fell for a quick 28, but Angkrish Raghuvanshi kept the momentum going as KKR reached 48/1 after 3 overs and 57/1 after 4.

However, wickets began to slow them down. Rahane’s dismissal saw them slip to 67/2 in 5 overs, and a run-out of Cameron Green made it 74/3 after 6. The scoring rate dipped slightly as KKR crawled to 79/3 after 7 overs, before recovering to 88/3 after 8 and 100/3 at the end of 9 overs.

Raghuvanshi’s fine half-century pushed KKR to 110/3 after 10 overs, but his run-out in the next over triggered a collapse, with KKR sliding to 120/4 after 11 and 123/5 after 12 overs. Rinku Singh tried to revive the chase, helping the side to 137/5 after 13 overs, but his wicket in the 14th over left KKR at 151/6, although Sunil Narine provided a late boost with two big sixes.

KKR got off to a sensational start in the chase, thanks to a blazing assault from Finn Allen. After Ajinkya Rahane took a single off the first ball, Allen went berserk, smashing four boundaries and two sixes in the over.

Ishan Kishan Departs! 

Sunil Narine’s second over went for runs as Abhishek Sharma continued his aggressive approach. He struck a four and a six, moving closer to a half-century and keeping the pressure on KKR.

After 7 overs: SRH 98/1, with Abhishek Sharma on 47 and Ishan Kishan on 2.

Head Departs! 

Kartik Tyagi provided the much-needed breakthrough for KKR after an expensive start. Travis Head continued his assault with a boundary and a six, but Tyagi struck back to dismiss him for 46, breaking the dangerous opening stand.

After 6 overs: SRH 84/1, with Abhishek Sharma on 34 and Ishan Kishan on 1.

Varun Chakaravarthy was taken apart in his first over as Abhishek Sharma launched a brutal counterattack. He smashed two sixes and three fours, turning the momentum firmly in SRH’s favour.

After 5 overs: SRH 71/0, with Abhishek Sharma blazing away on 33 and Travis Head on 36.

Vaibhav Arora’s second over turned into a nightmare as Travis Head went on a rampage. The left-hander smashed two sixes and two fours, punishing anything in his arc and taking full control of the innings.

The New Zealand batter is currently enjoying a remarkable run of form, leading the charts for most T20 runs in 2026 with 732 from 17 innings, averaging 48.80 at a striking rate of 193.13.

Allen also has special memories at Eden Gardens, where he produced a stunning unbeaten 100 off 33 balls against South Africa in the semi-final of the 2026 T20 World Cup, guiding New Zealand to a rapid chase of 170 in just 12.5 overs. KKR will be hoping he can deliver another match-winning performance at the same venue.

Aniket Verma emerged as one of SRH’s standout performers in IPL 2025, boasting an impressive strike rate of 166.19. Although he endured a modest Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign with just 120 runs in nine innings for Madhya Pradesh, his IPL form appears unaffected, as reflected in his quickfire 43 off 18 balls in the 2026 opener. In a batting line-up filled with explosive hitters, Aniket might not always grab the spotlight, but he remains a vital component among SRH’s power-packed unit.

Carse was unavailable for SRH’s opening match against RCB due to a hand injury. Although scans have ruled out a fracture, he is still doubtful for the clash against KKR. This could allow Payne to retain his place in the side, while a selection call may also need to be made between Malinga and Liam Livingstone for a spot in the playing XII.

The Eden Gardens pitch has undergone considerable changes over the years.
