Shaheen Afridi’s brief cameo came to an end on the final ball of the first innings. The Lahore Qalandars skipper scored 10 runs in four balls before being dismissed by Hasan Ali. 

It was an eventful over from Mohammad Hamza as he came on to bowl his final over of the night. He was hit for a six on the second ball of the over by Daniel Sams. Sams was then unfortunately run out on the fifth ball despite putting in a dive. To end the over, Shaheen Afridi smashed a six as 17 runs were scored. 

Hasan Ali returned to bowl his third over and was welcomed with a six on the first ball of the 18th over by Daniel Sams. 12 runs came off the over as Lahore Qalandars attempt to finish on a high. 

Rizwanullah, after going for 31 runs in his first two overs, has possibly picked up the most important wicket for the Karachi Kings. The medium pacer was hit for a huge six by Sikandar Raza on the third ball of the 17th over. However, he bounced back strongly and bowled a perfect yorker to dismiss Abdullah Shafique. 

It is Moeen Ali who has been the game-changer for the Karachi Kings. The English spinner dismissed Charith Asalanka for a three-ball duck. Meanwhile, the Kings are looking for answers, facing Abdullah Sahfique. 

Abdullah Shafique reached his half-century in only 28 balls. The left-handed batter struck a four on the first ball of the 15th over to reach the milestone. He hit yet another six in the over with Zahid Mahmood being on the receiving end. 

Moeen Ali has picked up a crucial wicket for the Karachi Kings. The English spinner broke the 110-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique by dismissing the former. Zaman scored 61 runs in 41 balls, but it is Abdullah Shafique who is posing all the danger here. 

David Warner turned to Mohammad Hamza, possibly to stem the flow of runs. However, the move did not pay for Warner or Karachi Kings as Abdullah Shafique smashed a six and a four in the 12th over. 

Rizwanullah has continued to be expensive. The medium-pacer after going for 23 runs in the first innings was hit for a four by Abdullah Shafique. While Zaman has reached his half-century, Shafique too is going all guns blazing with 31 runs off 19 balls. 

Zahid Mahmood, after a solid first over, could not follow up on a strong note. The leg-spinner was hit for a six by Abdullah Shafique, as 10 runs came off the ninth over. 

Zahid Mahmood bowled the first over right after the power play. The leg-spinner bowled a tidy first over, giving only four runs. 

Rizwanullah, bowling his first over, was taken to the cleaners by Fakhar Zaman. The medium pacer was hit for three fours on the trot before Zaman ended the fifth over with a six. 

Here is the first wicket for Karachi Kings, and it is the danger man Mohammad Farooq who has been dismissed. Moeen Ali, replacing Hasan Ali in the attack, struck in his first over.

Mohammad Farooq has broken the shackles in the third over. The right-handed batter struck a couple of sixes and a four in the over. It was Mohammad Hamza who was on the receiving end of the onslaught. 

Hasan Ali from the opposite end is right on the money as well. The right-arm pacer gave only four runs from the over as Mohammad Farooq and Fakhar Zaman find it hard to get going. 

It is a solid start from Mohammad Hamza as he bowls a maiden over to start the proceedings. The only run that came off the over was a leg-bye.

High scores are typically preferred on this surface, and the average first innings score, roughly 178 runs, is rather high. Here, batsmen can play their strokes with ease. The surface is balanced for both bowlers and batsmen, but it may be difficult at times because of its bounce and pace.
