Hyderabad Kingsmen stormed into Eliminator 2 with a commanding 8-wicket win over Multan Sultans, chasing 160 in just 15.2 overs at the Gaddafi Stadium. The defeat knocked Multan out of PSL 2026.

After losing Marnus Labuschagne for 11, Hyderabad took complete control through a stunning partnership between Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat. Usman blasted 64 off 35 balls, while Sadaqat remained unbeaten on 64 off 32 balls with a superb attacking knock.

Saim Ayub added an unbeaten 15 as Hyderabad finished the chase with 28 balls to spare.

For Multan, only Muhammad Ismail and Steven Smith picked up a wicket each.

Hyderabad Kingsmen will now face Islamabad United in Eliminator 2.

Multan Sultans finished strongly in the death overs, posting a competitive 159/9 in 20 overs against Hyderabad Kingsmen in Eliminator 1 of PSL 2026.

Mohammad Ali returned for the 19th over and Shan Masood took him on immediately. The left-hander struck two classy boundaries—one sliced behind point and another drilled through extra cover—to keep the scoreboard moving. A single and a couple followed, but Faisal Akram was run out for 4 off 6 balls after a mix-up while attempting a risky run. The over still produced 13 runs as Multan moved to 148/9 after 19 overs.

Hassan Khan bowled the final over, and Shan continued his excellent knock. He launched the opening ball straight down the ground for a powerful six to bring up the team’s 150. Tight bowling followed, but a no-ball gave Multan an extra run and another chance. Muhammad Ismail managed a single, while Shan sprinted back for two runs off the final delivery with a full-length dive to complete the innings.

Shan Masood carried his bat with a superb unbeaten 69 off 46 balls, anchoring the innings after Multan had slipped into serious trouble earlier. His composed and attacking effort ensured the Sultans reached a respectable total despite losing regular wickets.

Hyderabad Kingsmen had controlled much of the innings with disciplined bowling, but Shan’s late flourish shifted some momentum back towards Multan heading into the chase.

Final Score: Multan Sultans 159/9 in 20 overs

Multan Sultans continued to fight back but lost another key wicket, reaching 92/6 after 13 overs against Hyderabad Kingsmen in the PSL 2026 Eliminator 1.

Akif Javed returned for the 12th over and struck an important blow after being hit for two boundaries. Mohammad Nawaz attacked with back-to-back fours, but Akif responded by forcing a mistimed shot to deep point. Nawaz departed for 18 off 19 balls, ending a useful rebuilding stand with Shan Masood. Mohammad Imran Randhawa then survived a testing short-ball spell as Multan moved to 86/6 after 12 overs.

Saim Ayub came back for the 13th over and kept things under control. Shan Masood found one loose ball and helped a drag-down delivery fine for four, while also rotating strike with a single. Randhawa added one run but was otherwise tied down. Only six runs came from the over.

Masood continued to anchor the innings and moved to 22 off 20 balls, while Randhawa was unbeaten on 2 off 4 deliveries. Hyderabad Kingsmen maintained control with regular wickets and disciplined bowling.

Hyderabad Kingsmen continued to dominate as Multan Sultans slipped further to 55/5 after 8 overs in the PSL 2026 Eliminator 1.

Glenn Maxwell struck with his very first delivery, trapping Arafat Minhas lbw for 1 off 2 balls. The batter reviewed the decision, but the umpire’s call stayed in Maxwell’s favour.

Maxwell then kept things extremely tight, conceding only three runs in the over. Shan Masood managed a single, while new batter Mohammad Nawaz also rotated strike with two singles.

Masood remained unbeaten on 6 off 10 balls, while Nawaz was on 2 off 3 balls at the end of the over. Hyderabad Kingsmen were firmly in control with regular wickets and disciplined bowling.

Hyderabad Kingsmen tightened their grip on the match in the seventh over as Multan Sultans moved to 52/4 after seven overs.

Saim Ayub made an immediate impact with the ball, conceding just five runs and claiming the key wicket of Ashton Turner. Turner tried to clear the boundary but mistimed his shot straight to deep mid-wicket, departing for 9 off 7 balls.

Before his dismissal, Turner had picked up three runs, while Shan Masood continued to rotate strike with a single. Arafat Minhas got off the mark with one run on the final ball.

Shan Masood remained unbeaten on 5 off 8 balls, with Arafat Minhas on 1 off 1 ball.

Multan Sultans continued their positive start in the second over, collecting 11 runs to move to 18/0 after two overs in the PSL 2026 Eliminator 1 clash.

Akif Javed was introduced into the attack, but Sahibzada Farhan kept the scoreboard moving with an aggressive approach. He began the over with three runs through mid-on and later smashed a powerful boundary over wide mid-on. A wide delivery also added to Hyderabad Kingsmen’s troubles. Steven Smith rotated strike smartly and remained steady at the other end.

Farhan raced to 14 off 8 balls, while Smith was unbeaten on 3 off 4 deliveries.

Multan Sultans made a cautious but decent start in the first over of their PSL 2026 Eliminator 1 clash against Hyderabad Kingsmen, reaching 7/0 after one over at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Mohammad Ali began with a disciplined over, but Sahibzada Farhan provided early momentum with a classy boundary over extra cover on the fifth ball. Farhan looked in good touch, scoring 6 off 4 deliveries, while Steven Smith rotated strike and remained unbeaten on 1 off 2 balls.

The chasing side has won the last four games here in Lahore. The measurements are pretty even – 64 metres either side and 70 metres lengthways on the ground. There is also a shorter 57-metre boundary behind square which the batsmen will look to target. Multan Sultans will look to use the pace of Hyderabad Kingsmen’s bowlers to get into those shorter boundaries. This pitch was used about 8 days ago. It looks a little drier now so it might play a little through the game.
