Pindiz vs Islamabad United Highlights PSL 2026 Today Match Updates: IU Beat RAP By 7 Wickets

Islamabad United sealed a comfortable win with a dominant finish to the chase. From 13.1 onwards, Haider Ali and Mark Chapman kept the scoreboard ticking with boundaries and smart strike rotation. Chapman continued his quickfire cameo, while Haider took charge, smashing a six in the 14th over to bring the target within touching distance. A boundary from Haider in the next over all but confirmed the result as Islamabad cruised to 157/3 in 14.2 overs, completing a clinical chase.

Rawalpindiz finished their innings with a strong late flourish, powered by a brilliant cameo from Dian Forrester.

From 15.1 onwards, Forrester and Abdullah Fazal injected momentum with quick boundaries, taking the score past 110. Fazal struck a six but was dismissed soon after, while wickets continued to fall at the other end.

Despite the setbacks, Forrester kept up the attacking intent, finding boundaries regularly and keeping the scoreboard moving. He accelerated brilliantly in the death overs, especially in the final over, where he smashed two sixes and two fours off Salman Irshad.

Although Faheem Ashraf bowled a tight 19th over and picked up a wicket, Rawalpindiz managed a strong finish thanks to Forrester’s late assault.

Rawalpindiz continued to find runs hard to come by as Richard Gleeson and Imad Wasim maintained tight control.

From 13.1 onwards, Gleeson kept things disciplined, allowing just a handful of runs and preventing any big shots as Sam Billings and Abdullah Fazal tried to rotate strike. This helped restrict the scoring, taking Rawalpindiz to 94/4 after 14 overs.

The pressure paid off in the 15th over when Imad struck a key blow, trapping Billings lbw with a sharp arm ball. With minimal scoring opportunities and a new batter at the crease, the innings slowed further.

Rawalpindiz steadied their innings through the middle overs after early setbacks, largely driven by Kamran Ghulam and Daryl Mitchell. The duo built a solid partnership between overs 7 and 9, mixing boundaries with strike rotation to take the score to 58/2 after 9 overs.

The momentum dipped slightly in the 10th over as Mitchell was dismissed for 19, leaving Rawalpindiz at 66/3. Ghulam, however, continued to anchor the innings and brought up a well-crafted half-century in the 11th over with a six, although he was dismissed soon after by Faheem Ashraf, shifting momentum back towards the bowling side.

Islamabad tightened their grip further in the 12th over, conceding just two runs and picking up another wicket to leave Rawalpindiz at 79/4. The pressure was slightly eased in the 13th over as Abdullah Fazal struck a six, with Sam Billings providing support, helping the side reach 89/4 after 13 overs.

Rawalpindiz finally found momentum in the sixth over as Kamran Ghulam took on Salman Irshad with an aggressive approach. Kamran struck three boundaries in the over, including a couple of confident lofted shots, as 15 runs came off it to shift the pressure back on the bowlers.

Islamabad United kept things under control in the fifth over as Faheem Ashraf delivered a tidy spell, conceding just five runs. Kamran Ghulam and Daryl Mitchell rotated the strike but couldn’t find the boundary, allowing no real momentum to build.

Islamabad United kept things tight in the third over as Imad Wasim continued his disciplined spell. Kamran Ghulam broke the shackles with a fortunate boundary via a top-edged sweep, adding some momentum to the innings. Apart from that, runs were hard to come by, with Mohammad Rizwan still finding it difficult to get going.
