Along the boundary between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, outside the Ledo Tikok coalfield, the event occurred. According to the superintendent of police for the Tinsukia district Debojit Deori, three workers perished in an accident in an illegal rat-hole mine near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.

“Five labourers who were also involved in unlawful rate hole mining have been taken into custody. 11 workers were employed in the mine, which a few people had unlawfully ran “Declared Debojit Deori.

The three murdered workers were named as Shahidul Islam, Hussain Ali, and Asmat Ali, all of Jogighopa in the Bongaigaon district of Assam.

The police spokesman added that authorities have tracked down every individual involved in the unlawful rate hole mining.
