IMD calls  red alert in several areas of Maharashtra; flooding-like conditions in Gujarat due to heavy rains

In all of India’s southern states, there will likely be a lot of rain. More showers are forecast for Gujarat and Maharashtra today.

In its most recent forecast, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Maharashtra will have more heavy downpours on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, while Delhi would experience thunderstorms and showers of a moderate intensity. For today’s heavy rains, the weather service has issued a red alert for the coastal states of Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and the Konkan.

In all of India’s southern states, there will likely be a lot of rain. IMD has issued a red alert for many districts until July 13 and has forewarned of severe rainfall in Karnataka for the next four days. Additionally, isolated areas in the districts of Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri will experience very severe rainfall in Telangana.
