A shocking incident from Andhra Pradesh has shocked people across the country after a 35-year-old woman working for the government was brutally attacked in her own home in Macherla town, in Palnadu district. The young woman, who was alone in her home at the time of the incident, was attacked on Thursday night when an unknown man entered her home and committed an atrocious act against her.

Reports indicate that the man who attacked her placed a gag over her mouth, held a knife to her throat, and then physically assaulted her. The physical assault did not end with the initial attack; rather, the physical violence continued throughout the assault.

Andhra Pradesh Rape Case: Brutal Assault with a Rod has Shaken Up Macherla

The attack occurred at the victim’s house when she was home alone. As such, the perpetrator was able to gain access to the victim’s house, forcefully entered, and overpower the victim through the threat of physical force. The perpetrator gagged the victim in order to prevent her from calling for help, or from alerting everyone in the area of the assault.

According to the initial investigation, the incident happened between 3:30 pm and 4 pm on Thursday, when the accused entered the victim’s house asking for drinking water and then forced himself on her, said Macherla Town CI Venkata Ramana. He also stated that the victim is currently being treated at Narasaraopeta Area Hospital and is now out of danger.

In a shocking detail, the victim told the attacker that she was HIV positive in an attempt to fend off the attack. Instead, the attacker allegedly became even more aggressive.

The attacker allegedly struck the victim with an iron rod, inserting it into the victim’s vagina and causing her to sustain serious physical injuries that required medical treatment and left her with a life-threatening injury as a result of the brutal attack, which has outraged local authorities and the community.

How Did The Incident Come To Light?

This incident was supposedly clarified at the end of May when a relative who had recently finished his Class 10 exams and was staying at the residence of the victim, called several times and did not get an answer. He became concerned and asked various friends and family members to see if anything was wrong at the person’s home during the afternoon or evening of May 30th.

Once the neighbourhood was made aware of the situation, the local residents went to the home, discovering the woman unconscious on the floor. They contacted the police to have the woman transported to Macherla’s government hospital and then referred to Narasaraopa following the completion of her assessment.

Police Have Opened An Investigation, And The Attacker Has Not Yet Been Apprehended

An investigation has been opened by police into the matter, and they are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect. The suspect is currently unknown, and they are actively searching for the suspect.

All available resources are being utilized by police to locate the suspect, including evidence from the scene of the crime and witness statements provided by the victim. An Incident Report in relation to this matter has been submitted, and authorities have expressed their commitment to take appropriate action once the suspect has been apprehended.
