Bihar Man Climbs 300-Foot Mobile Tower, Threatens To Jump Unless His Girlfriend Is Brought; Triggers Hours-Long Drama | WATCH

A tense situation unfolded in Muzaffarpur after a young man climbed a mobile tower nearly 300 feet high and demanded that his girlfriend be brought to the spot. He also threatened to jump if his demand was not met, drawing a large crowd and prompting a swift response from authorities.

Man Climbs Tower And Issues A Demand

The man, identified as Anish Kumar, climbed the tower near the southern gate of Muzaffarpur Junction early in the morning and stayed there for several hours. As news spread, people gathered at the site, watching the situation unfold.

In a surprising move, Anish himself contacted the emergency helpline 112 around 11 am. During the call, he reportedly told officials that he would come down only if his girlfriend was brought to him, warning that he might jump otherwise.

Background Of The Incident

According to officials, Anish had returned home about a month earlier from Pune, where he worked at a tiles shop. He had reportedly left his house on Tuesday evening with plans to return to Pune but instead ended up climbing the tower the following morning.

Police said he is in a relationship with a woman from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh and had been repeatedly asking his family over phone calls to arrange a meeting with her.

Police Intervention And Rescue Efforts

After receiving the alert, police and administrative teams rushed to the spot and began efforts to calm him down. The situation remained tense for hours as officers tried to convince him to come down safely.

Family members were also involved in counselling him in an attempt to defuse the situation. Authorities continued their efforts to bring the man down without any harm, while onlookers remained gathered at the location as the drama unfolded.
