Virat Kohli, ahead of the crucial southern derby clash against Chennai Super Kings, put on his acting shoes as he mimicked Romario Shepherd’s batting stance to perfection. The former RCB skipper appeared to be copying the West Indies’ batter’s stance outside the nets before the RCB vs CSK clash.

The right-handed batter, who has entertained millions of fans over the years with his performances on the field, proved why he can capture the eyeballs off the field as well. Kohli mimicked Shepherd’s batting stance to perfection.

Shepherd was not needed with the bat in hand in RCB’s opening game of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was a crucial performer for the defending champions in the previous season, scoring 70 runs in three innings while striking at 291.

Watch: Virat Kohli mimics Romario Shepherd

Virat Kohli absolutely nailed his acting performance when mimicking Romario Shepherd. With a gap of more than a week between their first two games, it is natural that the players from RCB would like to keep things light. As they prepare for what promises to be a blockbuster clash against CSK at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli and the rest of the RCB batters seemed to be enjoying themselves at training.

Romario Shepherd, who did not bat in the opening game for the defending champions, picked up three wickets against SRH. The West Indies’ pacer, in spite of being on the expensive side in his four overs, took crucial scalps, dismissing Heinrich Klaasen, Harsh Dubey, and Aniket Verma.

Virat Kohli aces yet another chase

Virat Kohli was once again at the middle of things as RCB completed a successful chase of 202 to win their opening fixture. Kohli, having earned the ‘King of Chase’ title over the years, played yet another match-winning knock. The former RCB skipper remained unbeaten and scored 69 runs in 38 balls, hitting five fours and five sixes each in his knock. He played a second fiddle to Devdutt Padikkal for most of the innings. Padikkal scored 61 runs in 26 balls, almost sealing the win before being dismissed in the ninth over.

RCB vs CSK: Blockbuster clash at Chinnaswamy Stadium

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be playing their second fixture at home. The defending champions will host five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings, in a mouth-watering Southern Derby clash.

However, sad news for the fans would be that ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni would not be playing the clash, having been ruled out for at least two weeks. Dhoni is nursing a calf strain injury as he remains on the sidelines.
