Karachi Kings in PSL 2026

Karachi Kings registered a thrilling five-wicket victory over Rawalpindi, chasing down a target of 198 with four balls to spare. David Warner set the tone with a solid half-century, providing a composed start at the top of the order. The momentum was then seized by Azam Khan, whose explosive 74 off just 34 balls changed the course of the match. With six sixes and six fours, Azam relentlessly pressured the bowlers, keeping Karachi ahead of the required rate and comfortably steering the team to victory with overs to spare.

The win also reshapes the PSL 2026 points table in the early rounds. Karachi Kings now lead the standings with six points from three matches. Multan Sultans follow closely with four points from two wins, while Peshawar Zalmi sit in contention with a win and a no-result, totaling three points. Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators occupy the middle of the table with one win each. Meanwhile, Islamabad United have had a mixed start and sit just above the bottom, with Rawalpindi and Hyderabad Kingsmen yet to open their accounts.

“It’s a great place to be. I think tonight was a fantastic result for us, but the way that the boys played, I thought, was fantastic. Up with the 200, it was probably going to be, I think, par total on that wicket, but the way that our bowlers sort of bowled through the middle, I thought was fantastic. They had a good partnership and a solid foundation, and it’s always hard to bring that back,” Warner said after the match.

Karachi Kings will next lock horns with Peshawar Zalmi on April 9 in Karachi.
