iQOO 15 Apex Edition Launched In India: How Is It Different From Alpha And Legend Models? Check Out Its New Look, Specs, Price, And Features (Via Facebook)
The iQOO 15 Apex Edition has officially made its debut in India, arriving as a new colour variant of the iQOO 15 that was first launched in the country in November last year. The earlier model was offered in Alpha Black and Legend shades, while the latest Apex edition introduces a fresh look to the lineup.
This new colour is essentially a rebranded version of the “Lingyun” finish that was earlier available in China. Apart from the updated colour, the design and internal specifications remain unchanged. The device will be available for purchase in India via Amazon.
The iQOO 15 Apex Edition starts at Rs 72,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 79,999. Buyers can get the phone in India through Amazon.
According to iQOO, the Apex Edition comes with a holographic, dynamic ink-wash painting-inspired design. The back panel features a flowing pattern with shades of red, white, and black, giving it a distinct and premium look.
In terms of features, the Apex Edition matches the standard iQOO 15 without any internal changes. It comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The rear camera module is highlighted by an RGB LED strip, while the front houses a 32MP selfie camera.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset along with the Q3 gaming chip. This setup is designed to deliver faster performance, smoother multitasking, quicker app switching, and an improved gaming experience. To manage heat during heavy usage, the device includes a large 8,000mm² vapour chamber cooling system.
It features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The display also supports 2,160Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming for eye comfort, along with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is also included.
Powering the device is a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. It also offers smart bypass charging and reverse charging.
The smartphone runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. iQOO has promised five years of software updates and seven years of security patches. The device also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust and water.
