On March 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects totaling ₹7,200 crore in the Arambagh area of Hooghly district in West Bengal. These projects encompass various sectors including rail, ports, oil pipelines, LPG supply, and wastewater treatment, with the Prime Minister dedicating them to the nation.

However, PM Narendra Modi took a jibe on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over the crime and harassments going on in the state.
