Donald Trump is making radical changes within his administration. The US President fired Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday. Now, reports have emerged that Trump is likely to remove Federal Bureau of Investigation director Kash Patel.
Reports say White House is considering several changes within the administration, including the removal of several senior officials.
Will Donald Trump Fire Kash Patel?
Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin has claimed that Donald Trump is likely going to fire Patel next. He said that the FBI director’s position could be under threat while speaking during an appearance on the show hosted by far-right radio personality Alex Jones.
Citing two unnamed sources, Seraphin suggested that a decision could come as early as Thursday.
“There is a decent possibility that Kash Patel is fired today and there is a total reshuffle,” Seraphin said. “The question is why and my guess is that Trump wants to make it look like its his idea and not while he is under pressure.”

Pam Bondi Fired, General Todd Blanche To Step In
Earlier in the day, Trump confirmed that Bondi’s tenure as Attorney General had ended. In her place, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who previously served as one of the president’s personal lawyers, will step in as acting Attorney General.
Announcing the decision on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump praised Bondi’s service and said she would soon transition to a new role outside government.
“We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” Trump wrote.
Blanche later responded to the announcement in a post on X.
“Pam Bondi led this Department with strength and conviction and I’m grateful for her leadership and friendship,” he said. “We will continue backing the blue, enforcing the law, and doing everything in our power to keep America safe.”
Why Is Donald Trump Considering Firing Kash Patel?
Patel took charge of the FBI promising a sweeping overhaul of the agency. However, his tenure has drawn criticism from within the bureau.
By December 2025, the agency was described as “internally paralyzed by fear.”

A scathing 115-page report compiled by a national alliance of retired and active-duty FBI special agents and analysts painted a stark picture of the bureau’s internal condition.
The report described Patel as being “in over his head,” while insiders portrayed the FBI as a “rudderless ship.”
