The response came after a private lunch where President Trump mocked French President. Claiming he was “still recovering from the right to the jaw” and alleging that his wife, Brigitte Macron, “treats him extremely badly”.

The comment referenced a May 2025 video from a Vietnam visit which show that first lady Brigitte Macron was pushing the French President’s face before they disembarked their plane. Macron has earlier dismissed the clip as “disinformation” claiming that they were just joking.
