Pakistan-Afghanistan War: According to a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday, negotiations are underway between Pakistan and Afghanistan to put an end to the deadliest conflict between the South Asian neighbours since the Taliban took back control in 2021. According to the spokesperson, senior officials from the two nations were holding talks in the northwest Chinese city of Urumqi.

Pakistan-Afghanistan War: China has been attempting to broker a peaceful resolution to the crisis between the former allies who now share a 2,600-kilometer (1,600-mile) border. Numerous people have died on both sides of the conflict since it started in October of last year. According to sources cited by Reuters on Wednesday, the discussions would center on a possible truce and the reopening of border crossings to permit trade and travel. The Pakistani spokesperson stated at a routine press conference, “Our efforts for talks will continue despite the problems that will keep coming.”

Pakistan-Afghanistan War: He stated that the efforts were complementary to one another and that Pakistan values China’s position as a significant actor in the world. Islamabad claims that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists, often known as the Pakistani Taliban, are conducting an insurgency inside Pakistan and that the Afghan Taliban is providing them with shelter. The Afghan Taliban refutes the charge, claiming that the militancy is a domestic issue in Pakistan.
