Habshan gas facilities in Abu Dhabi have been attacked, likely by Iran, UAE authorities confirmed, saying they are responding to the incident. Reports said a shrapnel fell at the gas facilities after being intercepted by the UAE air defence systems. Reports said the facility has caught fire with no injuries reported so far.
No official confirmation was provided on whether the missiles or drones were from Iran. However, for the last month, Iran has been retaliating with drone and missile strikes in Gulf countries where the US has its bases, including the UAE.
The gas facility was attacked hours after Donald Trump claimed that US forces destroyed Iran’s largest bridge – the B1 bridge – in overnight strikes. Iran, in response, vowed to strike back and listed eight potential targets in countries perceived to be close to the US.

Earlier, Iran claimed that they have shot down a second F-35 fighter jet in central Iran.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have also been targeted by Iran on the same day with missiles and drone attacks. According to reports, a desalination plant was damaged in an Iranian attack in Kuwait. Kuwait also claimed that an oil refinery was attacked in the Iranian attack.
Reports also say that Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed several drones sent by Iran into its territory.
Over the last week, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is seeking a ceasefire as US forces have completely obliterated the IRGC missile facilities and the country’s navy. However, on Friday, Trump warned that it will destroy Iran’s civilian infrastructure includinng bridges and electric power plants, if the regime does not make a deal.
