On Tuesday, May 31, the 11th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana (Scheme) would be credited to the registered beneficiaries’ bank accounts. PM Narendra Modi will disburse the 11th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, worth Rs 21,000 crore, at the ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ in Shimla today as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

According to the Power Ministry, PM Modi will also meet with beneficiaries of roughly 16 government of India initiatives across nine departments. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which was launched on December 1, 2018, is a central scheme that receives 100% support from the government.

Farmers who are not yet registered receive an income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments. Small and marginal farmer households with a combined land holding/ownership of up to 2 hectares are eligible for assistance. The state government and the UT administration identify the farmer families that are qualified for assistance based on the scheme’s requirements and direct the funds to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
