According to a research, 157 women were abducted overall, 112 suffered physical assault, and 91 were sexually assaulted throughout Pakistan in the month of June.
The research by Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) and Centre for Research, Development, and Communication (CRDC), domestic abuse cases and violence against women are both on the rise in Pakistan.
The study stated that 100 instances of domestic abuse have been documented nationwide.
In the month of June, 180 or so youngsters were the targets of sexual and physical abuse. However, 93 incidences of child abuse, 64 cases of kidnapping, and 37 cases of physical assault were all documented.
In June, 108 abduction cases were reported in Punjab province. Meanwhile, in June, there were 22, 17, 6, and 4 recorded abductions in Sindh, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, respectively.
In Punjab, 66 incidences of physical abuse against women were recorded, followed by 27 in Sindh, 11 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 8 in Islamabad.
Out of 100 domestic violence instances, local media stated that at least 68 were recorded in Punjab, 17 in Sindh, 13 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and two in Islamabad.
