In the preceding 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recorded 8,084 new COVID-19 cases and 10 fatalities in India.
Delhi reported 735 new cases, Maharashtra reported 2,946 cases, Karnataka reported 463 cases, and Kerala reported 1,955 cases. With each new Coronavirus infection reported, India’s total number of COVID-19 cases grew to 4,32,30,101, with a daily positive rate of more than 3%.
India has 47,995 active cases, accounting for 0.11 percent of total cases.
According to government statistics, 10 more fatalities brought India’s COVID-19 death toll to 5,24,771.
In the week ending June 8, 2022, 4,207 average daily new cases were recorded, compared to 2,663 average daily instances in the week ending June 1, 2022,” stated Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary, in a letter to states.
