According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the temple town of Kashi, as well as Mathura, Vrindavan, Vindhyavasini Dham, and Naimish Dham, appears to be waking up after the erection of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He informed the BJP’s one-day state executive conference in Lucknow that there had been no communal riots in the state and recalled recent festivals, saying that for the first time in the state, the namaz on the last Friday before Eid was not held on the roadways.
Adityanath mentioned the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, saying that one lakh worshippers visit Kashi every day, showing the place’s significance in keeping with PM Modi’s vision.
“The celebrations of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti were held in a peaceful manner. The last Friday namaz before Eid was not conducted on the streets for the first time. There is a place of worship for namaz, mosques, where religious programmes can be held “he stated.
“You must have noticed how the needless noise was got rid of,” he continued, referring to the removal of loudspeakers from sacred places.
He ordered party members to start planning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and go forward with the goal of winning 75 out of the state’s 80 seats at the BJP’s first state executive meeting following the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP won 62 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, while its allies, the Apna Dal (S), got two.
“After the beginning of the construction of the huge Ram temple in Ayodhya, the waking up (‘angdai’) of Kashi is before us,” he remarked, referring to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor.
“All of the pilgrimage sites, such as Mathura Vrindavan, Vindhyavasini Dham, and Naimish Dham, are reawakening (‘angdai li’). We must all move forward again in this situation “According to the chief minister.
His comments came while court battles raged in Mathura and Varanasi, commonly known as Kashi, over temple-mosque issues.
Adityanath remarked at the conference, “From now on, we must lay the foundation for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. We should press on with our goal of winning 75 seats.”
