Ahead of Gujarat polls, PM Modi inaugurates Global Patidar Business Summit

According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Sardardham is organising GPBS under 'Mission 2026' to provide impetus to the Patidar community's socioeconomic development.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Global Patidar Business Summit (GPBS), which is being hosted by Sardardham.

At 12 p.m., the Prime Minister will kicked off the summit. Surat is hosting the summit.

PM Modi stated on Twitter that the summit aims to encourage entrepreneurship and value creation among the youth.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Sardardham is organising GPBS under ‘Mission 2026’ to provide impetus to the Patidar community’s socioeconomic development.

Every two years, the Summit is held. The first two Summits took place in Gandhinagar in 2018 and 2020, respectively, and the current Summit is being held in Surat.

GPBS 2022’s main theme is “Aatmanirbhar Community to Aatmanirbhar Gujarat and India.”

According to the PMO, the Summit will bring together small, medium, and large enterprises in the community, as well as nurture and support new entrepreneurs and provide training and employment assistance to educated youth.

The three-day Summit, which runs from April 29 to May 1, will cover topics such as government industrial policy, MSMEs, start-ups, and innovation.
