The searches are being carried out throughout Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, and surrounding areas, targeting locations connected to various gangsters.

Anti Terror : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today searched about 50 locations throughout north India linked to gangsters operating from both India and abroad, months after the murder of Punjab musician Sidhu Moose Wala.
In Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, and surrounding areas, including the residences of Canadian-based mobster Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, who are reportedly responsible for the murder of Moose Wala, the raids are being carried out in conjunction with local police agencies.

According to officials, the anti-terror agency began to pay attention to these gangsters after recent investigations into a few terror cases revealed a connection between the gangsters and terrorists.

They said that some of the criminals are also operating out of prisons, including Lawrence Bishnoi, the main suspect in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.

According to sources, the Union Home Ministry subsequently requested the NIA to conduct coordinated operations driven by intelligence against these gangsters across India while also taking into account their foreign connections.

According to insiders, the operations are meant to apprehend the local handlers of gangsters who are connected to terror cases, and those involved in cross-border arm smuggling are also on the radar.

After Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, the growing relationship between Punjab-based gangsters and terrorists came into sharper view. According to sources, the centre had also issued the Punjab police many alerts over the previous two months regarding the expanding network of state-based gangsters.

On June 29 in Punjab’s Mansa region, the singer was fatally shot while driving his SUV close to his hometown of Moosa.

Goldy Brar acknowledged in a Facebook post published the day after Moose Wala’s murder that the murder was intended to exact revenge for the assassination of another gangster. Lawrence Bishnoi’s close friend and helper is Goldy Brar.
