Bank manager shot dead by terrorists in J&K’s Kulgam, Hindu community protests for protection

Terrorists shot and killed a bank manager in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district today, authorities said.

Terrorists shot and killed a bank manager, Vijay Kumar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district today, authorities said.

As per the Police statement “Terrorists opened fire on a bank manager at Ellaqie Dehati Bank in Kulgam district’s Areh Mohanpora. In this terror attack, manager sustained serious bullet wounds. he died as a result of his injuries.”

The bank manager lives in the Rajasthani town of Hanumangarh. The area has been roped off.

Meanwhile, members of the Hindu community employed in Kashmir organized a protest in Jammu, demanding protection for their community members.

Terrorists shot and killed Rajni Bala, a 36-year-old migrant Kashmiri Pandit and high school teacher, in the Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir earlier on Tuesday.

Terrorists have slain two civilians, including Kashmiri Pandit employee Rahul Bhat, and three off-duty police officers in Kashmir in the last two months.

Official sources said a high-level meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha would be held on June 3 in the national capital to discuss the recent killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the Union Territory.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh are anticipated to attend the meeting, which is set to begin in the first half of the day on the planned date.

The meeting will also be attended by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force Kuldeep Singh, and Border Security Force commander Pankaj Singh.
