His visit to Mansa came as locals staged protest against Moosewala’s death and expressed rage against the Aam Aadmi Party.
The Aam Aadmi Party has been facing sharp criticism from the opposition over revoking Moosewala’s security cover a day before he was shot dead. Earlier in the day, locals had protested against AAP MLA Gurpreet Singh, who was cancel his trip to Mansa.
Amid the backlash, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal broke his silence on the singer’s murder and called the incident unfortuante. Reassuring that the culprits will be identified and punished at the earliest, he urged everyone not to politicise the matter.
