Bhupendra Patel, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will soon be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries. At a ceremony to be conducted at the Helipad Ground near the new Secretariat in Gandhinagar at 2 PM, Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer Patel’s oath as the 18th chief minister. Chief ministers from other BJP-controlled states are also anticipated to attend the ceremony in addition to Modi and Shah.

In order to facilitate the formation of a new administration in response to the election results, Patel, 60, resigned from his position as chief minister on Friday along with his whole cabinet.
