BJP evicted 11 dissident MCD candidates on Monday following a meeting presided over by BJP national president JP Nadda.

Nadda presided over a review meeting of party leaders on Monday, with less than a week till elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Nadda arrived with updates on the activity of party’s public representatives in their various constituencies.

According to reports, significant decisions were made at the review meeting, main aim of which was for BJP to retake control of MCD for the fourth time.

Sources stated Nadda also ordered party leaders to go out to general public and spread the news about Prime Minister Narendra Modi handing over keys to 3,024 flats to persons from economically disadvantaged sections (EWS) under the ‘In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project.’

Furthermore, sources cited Nadda saying “Developments like this must be communicated to the public so that the people of Delhi are aware of the BJP’s and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements.”

According to a source, JP Nadda also chastised top party officials like Vijendra Gupta for failing to reach out to the public. The party is expected to present its manifesto for the municipal elections on November 24 and 25.

Notably, Nadda made it clear that nothing is more vital than party organisation.
