On Wednesday, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi announced his resignation as the Union Minister of Minority Affairs. RCP Singh, a member of the Union Cabinet, also informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi of his resignation.
A day before the end of their Rajya Sabha tenure, the two ministers left the Union cabinet.
There are several rumours that Naqvi, a prominent BJP official, may be selected as the NDA’s vice presidential candidate.
Singh is a JD(U) quota minister in the Modi government, while Naqvi is the deputy leader of the Rajya Sabha.
It was hinted that it was Naqvi and Singh’s last cabinet meeting when PM Modi praised them profusely for their contributions to the nation over the course of their term.
Given that they will no longer be members of parliament as of Friday, both ministers submitted their resignation letters in accordance with the law.
