WB cattle smuggling case: CBI raids arrested TMC leader Anubrata Mondal’s house in Birbhum, interrogates daughter Sukanya Mandal

In connection with the West Bengal livestock smuggling case, the CBI detained the TMC leader in August. Anubrata Mandal, the president of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) Birbhum district, was sentenced by the CBI Special Court to 14 days of judicial detention in connection with an alleged livestock smuggling case.
CBI had called Mondal on multiple occasions, but he had refused, citing health problems. On August 11, he was ultimately taken into custody outside of his Bolpur home in the Birbhum district.
Mamata Banerjee’s close friend and confidant Mondal was recently detained in connection with a cattle-smuggling case.
However, on September 21, 2020, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained a former Border Security Force (BSF) Commandant in connection with a case of livestock smuggling across the border between India and Bangladesh. According to the agency, Anubrata Mondal’s name was investigated by the CBI over the course of the probe.
According to the Crime Investigation Department (CID), a raid was conducted on Wednesday at the JHM group’s headquarters in West Bengal’s Bentinck Street in connection with the livestock smuggling case.
The nephews of Enamul, Humayun Kabir, Jahangir Alam, and Mehedi Hasan, were members of the JHM organisation that was invaded.
Earlier on February 18, the ED detained Enamul Haque, who is now being held in judicial custody. The total attachment, in this case, has increased to Rs. 11.67 crore with this attachment. Enforcement Directorate detected 418 crore rupees worth of criminal proceeds up to that point (ED).
