According to Prabhat Kumar, the politician's lawyer, Lalu Prasad Yadav, 74, will most likely travel to Singapore for kidney treatment.
According to his lawyer, a special CBI court on Tuesday ordered the release of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s passport, which was deposited as part of bail conditions following his conviction in a corruption case.
According to Prabhat Kumar, Yadav is likely to travel to Singapore for kidney treatment. “The court has ordered that his passport be released. We should have it by tomorrow [Wednesday]. Our client will now request a renewal. “We would deposit it with the court again after renewal and apply for its release whenever he gets an appointment for treatment abroad,” he said.
Kumar stated that they applied for passport release because the validity of their passport was about to expire. “We need to renew it because otherwise he won’t be able to see any hospital abroad.”
Prasad, who has a number of medical issues, including kidney problems, is out on bail.
